In Comparrison, work is just fine

Things are tense at work today. There are 3 people covering phones and yesterday one of them took 65 calls and he came in this morning gunning for bear. Well, yes, that's a lot of calls, but that's the job of the phone team. Then, one of the other guys on the phone team got angry because the higherups are actually asking him to...no, no I can't say it, it's too horrible to comprehend...oh heck with it, they are asking him to WORK! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! That severely hampers his net surfing, news reading and game playing, don'tcha know??? Also, they gang found the posting for the person who would replace me at my job and aren't happy. My boss posted it as a 3 and they are all 2s and the pay is significantly higher. But to be fair, so are the qualifications and requirements. Also, Prima Donna is still her prima donna self, much to the annoyance of the other phone team members who are witnessing her displays of prima donnaish mannerism more so now that they are down in numbers. But my boss is gone this week and therefore not around to witness this fabulous display of teamwork amongst the phone teamers. Oh! And the icing on the cake is that we were told that we would probably get out early tomorrow, but now we hear that phone teamers must be here 8-5 and data entry teamers only 8-3! Phone teamers are NOT HAPPY! But they get paid for the hours while we don't and we are all doing work...just just goofing off. Plus, none of the bankers, supervisors, people that know how to do stuff are actually in because of the holiday, so we are all having to deal with the people customers are turning to in their time of need, but who don't know how to do anything and that can be frustrating in itself. So, yeah, it's been a GREAT day at work today, thanks for asking.

Have you ever been waiting for something in the mail and it just takes forever? The anticipation is just too great. Every day I go to the mailbox and it still isn't there and I die a little inside. Boo hoo.

I know everyone knows about the tsunami and the death toll of almost 120,000 and that there are ways to give. Here are 2 other ways. 1.) Samaritan's Purse and 2.) Compassion International Even if you just give $5.00...it goes so far in those countries.

I was just talking to Bob and asking him how he was feeling and he said he was dealing with a lot of pain today but then he said, "But at least my home, possessions and loved ones weren't swept into the sea, so I'm doing really well." Wiser words were never spoken.
