hey i just stumbled upon your entry and i had to tell you - those Instead things are worthless. they're based on something called the Keeper. www.thekeeper.org. the Keeper rules because it's durable, easy to use, and washable - the original idea behind the cup thing being that you wash it out and reuse it to avoid the waste of tampons and pads. plus there's a much lower risk of tss. Instead is like a ridiculous play off of the success of the Keeper. it's disposable, hard to use and flimsy and violates the ultimate ideology behind the Keeper, which is to help your health and the environment. it's entirely worthless. sorry about that little rant, but as a loyal Keeper user i had to clear up misconceptions, etc :) p.s. your diary is awesome. i read it everyday. how's supe?

Dude, ew. I mean, can you imagine the cleanup involved getting that thing out of you? With a tampon, you just yank on the string, and flush it. No muss, no fuss. Don't tell me I wouldn't spill the cup of ick, because I'm a freaking klutz. That's not really something I want all over my hands. Speaking of funny commercials. I don't know if you'll get a kick out of this or what, but DS saw a commercial for the "Christian Comedian," whose CD is called "Is It Just Me?" I laughed, thinking one of his jokes might be, "Is it just me, or is Jesus YOUR Lord and Savior, too?" Like, nice joke. Ha ha. Anyway...

Oh, I'm a diehard Always girl, too. I'm not a spade, though, I'm a club.

That keeper thing, by the way it is www.thekeeper.com, looks like the most revolting thing I have EVER seen! Eeeeeewwwwwwww!!!!! I am,not trying to be disrespectful, but there are some "organic" things that are just way too over-the-top. I think I will stick to the good old Stayfree pads. I can't imagine using one of those keeper things or the other product, either. The mess would be horrible. What if you drop the thing in the toilet? Would you want to use it again? Eeeewww! My cousin had TSS, though, during the big TSS scare of the 70's and 80's. She used that product that was banned off of the market (I can't remember the tampon brand that gave all of those women TSS). She had a cardiac arrest 3 times and they pronounced her dead all 3 times, but she ended up living. She is still alive to talk about it, too.
