My brother and his wife have 3 cats, and to "integrate" the new cat into the pack, Tara (who works at an animal shelter) said to just let them fight it out and eventually, someone will decide who is the "alpha cat" and who is the "beta cat" meaning who is the boss and who is not. Them continuing to fight means that they haven't determined who the leader cat is. They won't kill each other. It usually sounds worse than it is. I did this with my dogs. I only intervene when I can't hear the tv from the yowling...lol. I hope this helps. I would start to leave them out when you are not home. They will learn to deal with each other when you are not at home. The only thing I would question is if one has claws and the other doesn't. That might make a problem. Otherwise, let the games begin and then see if it forces the cats to behave. The more you intervene, the more one cat can learn to manipulate the situation. One cat might misbehave so that the other cat gets thrown into isolation. Sounds like 2 children. Try it and see.
