You know you can do this. I am so pulling for you:) Go get some slim fast -- and have a shake in the morning, one in the afternoon, and then have a sensible dinner. In fact, you can have one bar for a snack. If I can help let me know:)

Slim Fast probably isn't the best as it's very high in sugar content. A high protein shake mix would be better!

If you're a good crash dieter there's no shortage of them out there, but make sure you take care of yourself. Good luck!

Instead of trying Slim Fast, which contains a lot of sugar (they neglect to tell you this), a friend of mine who is a registered dietitian as well as a diabetic himself, told me to try a product from the makers of Ensure called Glucerna Weight Loss. I have tried it and it really works. Not only did I feel full when I drank it (unlike slimfast where I was starving to death by the next hour), but I didn't get the dip in my blood sugar that I get if I try to diet. He said to drink a shake (my favorite is the chocolate ones as they are not too sweet like the dulce de leche or vanilla) for breakfast and eat a piece of fruit with it. Then you can eat a light lunch if you want to and a sensible dinner, or you can do the shake in the morning with fruit, a fruit for a midmorning snack (or a glucerna bar), a shake and fruit or a salad for lunch, and then a regular dinner. I lost 18 pounds on it in a few weeks. The only drawback is the cost...like 10 bucks for 4 of them, though you can get them on sale for 7 bucks for 4 of them at times.

I am praying for you girl and praying that you will follow peace, whereever that leads you. Stay focused on eating healthy and watching your portions. In the week 1 book you get at Weight Watchers it tells you to find an anchor to remind you when you are tempted. I wear a cross on a necklace, and now when I am tempted, I simply touch and say (often out loud) that I am determined and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. So if you haven't done so, find you an anchor, something that will center you and focus you on God and what He wants for you and that is your health and call on that when you are tempted. Sorry I wrote a book, but I just thought I'd share.
