We bought a Ford Expedition to crate our two teenage boys and their friends around until they all get their licenses and it costs over $50.00 a week to fill the tank. Brutal. In three or four years I'll be buzzing around in a little Volkswagon Bug, Mini Cooper, or something small, but until then my wallet screams during fill-up times.

Our gas prices are 2.17 a gallon for premium and we pay 42.00 to fill up our tank.

Holy Cow! I bow to your large vehicles and high gas prices. I don't know what I would do if they went over $2.00 here. The hubs can drive his wheel chair up to 15 miles on one charge...maybe I will have to take it from him. Hee.

There is a site that you can go to on MSN that will quote you the cheapest gas price in town according to your zip. Hubby and I get on that site a lot. (though we usually know where the cheapest gas is in town...by the mall.) Our price here is between $1.89 and $1.93 depending on where you go. OUCH. My Ford Focus is not too bad on gas. I try not to let it get past 1/2 a tank. It is cheaper to fill up.

It is times like this that I'm just going to shut my mouth about it and start praising the public transportation system. Woo, go T, no need to buy gas. Those prices are making me wince I don't even own a car!
