Avoid the hot dogs suspended in water. I, too, took Nancy Reagan VERY seriously in the 80s, along with Arnold from Different Strokes and Punky Brewster. I didn't do any drugs at all until I was 20, and even then I just smoked some pot. I don't know why I'm telling you this, except to let you know that you are not alone in having been sucked in by the "Just Say No" movement.

I just happened on your journal. You sound like such a lovely woman. You have a gentle way of writing, and I find that refreshing. I wish you the best with your upcoming surgery. Look forward to hear how it all goes for you. God's Blessings!

I am so excited for you!!! When I had braces on my teeth, and had to eat baby food, I liked the Hawaiian blend. It has pineapples and bananas. YUMMY! Not to mention, you can take your own favorite fruits and puree them in the blender with a little fruit juice. You can do that with veggies and use broth to help that. My dad's friend said you will have to time yourself to eating every so-often because you won't feel the urge to eat at all, if you are like he was. He has lost close to 280 pounds since last summer. Dad says he looks unbelievable. He was close to 600 pounds and still wants to get down to like 180.
