Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly. From personal experience I'd say don't begin to think you're pregnant as if that isn't the case...the disappointment factor will be huge. Especially since you haven't really been trying~~then you shouldn't be thinking such thoughts probably. I hope that the doc's can find out what the heck the trouble is though. As you said~~maybe it's just a "bug" that's going around and due to your surgery it's showing up a bit more weird.

My friend said she went through a period where she couldn't eat solid foods. She had a rough time her first few months after her surgery. She said she had months where she would be fine and then months where she had to go back to liquids. I will be praying for you.

Sorry you're not feeling well. I read it was **very dangerous** to have a baby soon after WLS. At least a 1 or 2 year wait is advisable. I read about a woman who had WLS and got pregnant soon aftewards. She was 8 months pg. She and the baby died. Don't mean to alarm you, but I'd surely think twice or three times before getting pregnant at this stage of the game, not to mention emotional, physical and financial issues. Take care and God Bless!

Amy - have you taken any antibiotics this cycle while on the pill? If so, antibiotics make the pill not so effective.

Susan - I know lots of women who have gone on to have children after WLS and are just fine. You are only reading the horror stories out there, that people like to place on the net. Go search more and read the positive outcomes they are out there.

Anyhow, Amy, once you find out what's going on with you -- talk to your doctor about pregnancy plans. I think your doctor will advise you to wait about 6 months after you have attained your goal weight, whatever you two have decided for your height. The reason they want you to wait, is they want to see what your body will level out to. Once you have been given the green light, they will teach you the right way to eat and be pregnant.

Hang in, feel better. I can't imagine you aren't losing even more weight sick!
