Dear Amy, As silly as it may sound, let Bob cut your hair. My husband has been cutting my hair for years, and I cut his. I'm like you. I hate going to the salon and sitting in front of a mirror! Here's the way we do it. Wash your hair and towel a little dry. Part your hair down the middle. Start cutting all the way around about an inch at a time. Continue with this until you get the length you want. Since we've been at this awhile, we are a little bit more creative with our cuts. We've saved at least $1,000 over the past couple of years. Give it a try! It really isn't difficult. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that your hair is falling out!

Amy, I wanted to add that you need to be sitting in front of a mirror while Bob cuts your hair -- to help lead him! If I lived closer to you, which I don't, I'd be happy to come over and give you a free hair cut! I just had mine cut yesterday and am loving it (yes, DH cut it, and I cut his!). Get well soon! God's blessings

How far are you willing to drive. A cut, wash, and style around here costs $22.00 and they are great. A few people there have had the GB surgery too. Off the Top in Waconia, MN. 35 minutes from Minnetonka.

Glad to hear you're feeling better! Take it easy these days you're at home. Could you please change your font and the color. I find it difficult to read!

I went to Cost Cutters when I lived in Minnesota and I had great experiences there. They have one in Mtka and EP. As for Bob cutting your hair, I think his arms would get awfully tired out. I cut Matt's hair last night, and it made my arms tired. What about our mutual friend? She always did a great job on my hair, too. As for your hair falling out, get some flavorless Knox gelatin and dilute it with water and take sips of it. (if you can tolerate it) It should help you. (though you might want to check with doc first)

Had a friend once who'd decided to become a vegitarian and after awhile their hair started to fall out due to not enough protein in their diet. I know, I know~~people will be coming out of the woodwork giving their opinions but I have to tell you it's diet related! Could also be due to the stress that you had while you were sick! Ask you health care provider before you listen to us chairside docs!! :-) Cost Cutters or a Redkin salon might be the answer! Go for it~~if you get a whort-ish "do" it won't be so bad. I'd not go for having the husband do it....that's scarey to think about! :-)

Ugh, I hate a PICC line a couple of years ago when I was on IV antibiotics at home. It was a pain in the ass. I hope you feel better soon.
