Re: mammogram~~you can make the appointment now but for after your trip. Sometimes the appointment books are backed up anyway. This really is something not to put off even when you don't feel like it. As for cold remedies. Your brother says Muselex (spelling is uncertain) is really good!

Zicam. I adore Zicam. I have had no less than three colds already this year and haven't felt one of them thanks to Zicam. You have to take it right away, and at $10 a bottle it's a little pricy, but one bottle will last you through several colds, so it's worth it. Basicly, while you take it, you can still tell you're sick, because you'll be so tired and blah, but you won't have any symtoms, and the blah goes away after just two or three days instead of say, a week. I love Zicam.

I agree with Mom (above), make the appointment. I have had a number of mammos already and they are really not that bad. Go in with a good attitude, knowing it will not take forever and they always try to be as gentle as possible. Baseline information is so important! {{Hugs}} to Bob.

We are expecting a foot of snow here in Ohio and then the cold weather. At least we will have a white Christmas. That is exciting for me. It is going to be -5 here, though. YUCK! My friend Wilma (a fellow nurse) swears by Fenugreek and Thyme to ward off sinus/cold symptoms. They sell it in a capsule. It smells really spicy.

What "Mom" was trying to say is Mucinex. Maybe you've seen the commercials - the one(s) where the mucous moves in (and out).... Also, I've used Airborne - Not sure if it worked or not, but I only was sick - with the worst of a cold - fever, etc. for one day.....
