I'm surprised that noone clued you in on how to prepare for your 1st mammogram! Glad it went o.k. for you though. Don't know what to say about the question of a possible pregnacy. Guess I'd say for now, don't worry because what good would that do?? Just go on your vacation and enjoy yourselves!

One of my first homecare clients here in Ohio was a gentleman that was 28 years old with Duchenne's. He had a trach and a respirator. His name was David. He could talk and eat and enjoyed life pretty much like the rest of us. He was confined to his electric wheelchair, but we went EVERYWHERE together. He said that his health had been declining when he got his trach and once he got that, he stablized for quite a long time. Sadly enough, my dear friend died, but not from the disease. His mom and he were driving in his van (with w/c lift) and they got into an accident that flipped the van. He wasn't strapped in tight enough and had massive head injuries. I hope your friend's son stabilizes. As for your monthly visitor, she is probably fashionably late because you have had some stress over the holidays. Being on the pill doesn't over-ride stress. Have a great vacation whether she shows up or not.
