Always glad to be a shoulder here and let the rest of us share our wisdom when/if possible. We all get in funks with life issues...but as I grow older I think what the 'self talk' (what we say to ourselves) can sometimes be a hinderance. Such as "I'm no good", "I'm such a failure" etc.~~where does that come from first of all?? The whispers we hear in our head..it's not from us. Also to feed that to ourselves, as you say, is counter productive. When I have a bad day I try to go to more positive sources to build me up...my spiritual life would be one area. I think our society is sometimes so negative anyway that we need all the positive we can get. It sounds like you're feeling a bit better today~~at least I hope so. Just look at yourself over the past year and where you were and where you are now. I'd say "WOW"!! I've been following you here in Dairyland for awhile and I can see alot of really good potential coming forth. You seem to have alot of good things to share with the world (& us). As for the weather....we have no control over it. We can complain all we want but does it make us feel any better? Nope!! Instead (& I'm talking to myself here) we should see the beauty of it and the awesomeness of it. Like a big picture rather than what is just in front of us. Was watching Oprah the other day and her decorator guy had been caught in that tsunami and lost his good friend. He said even in the horror of it all there was a great beauty in it as well. He probably elaborated on that better than I am here but I thought, man that guy is mourning a loss but is yet seeing something more of a really horrible thing and in it some good perhaps.(??) Don't know, but that's what he seemed to be saying. Now I'm rambling. Amy, just know that you are a good person with lots and lots of good qualities and really even when life sucks...you still have those qualities and they can't be taken from you. It's what we do with what sucks, that matters.

Oh how I loved the snow days of my youth. And, there was nothing more exciting than hearing your school's name on the snow day list. The anticipation was incredible.

Was just coming to check and see if you were commenting. I looked at the weather condition boxes you have and you know what?? Florida isn't the place to be today. You got the lucky straws the week you were vacationing. How did your snow storm play out??
