It was down to $2.39 as of this morning, then during the day it went up to $2.69. I keep trying to think of ways to save gas, but I usually only drive to and from work.

As of this morning gas was $2.98 here in Milwaukie, Oregon. Luckily we don't have to drive to far to get to work!

Coming through town today...Kwik Trip was at $2.88 for "regular" and I think it was $2.99 for premium. I'd filled my tank on Monday and I think it was $2.35 then. I heard from a man who owns a trucking company (gravel etc) and he says there's a shortage in McFarland at those tanks..so probably the news guys are correct then. I'm always skeptical thinking it's just "politics" and maybe some of it is....but you have to wonder where this will go!

My thinking is...we're such a comsumer oriented country that people will pay for what they want. I remember when gas was less than $2.00/gal. and when it was going up people complained but still they drove, took their trips etc. Unless "something" gets their attention and they become less "Me" orientated and focus on others. The hurricane and all it's devistation should become our prime focus and if everyone in the unaffected states sent a care package, money or offered something for just one family I would think that alot of benefits could be taken care of. To find out how to help go online with Red Cross, Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse and maybe there are other's, to see how you can help!!!
