Don't listen to the secular news...as I don't believe they're giving a very accurate account of what's happening in the way of helping in the south. I was watching TBN this evening and what I heard and saw there was very much different! Think millions of people then think lots of water as in a flood with people stranded. There are helicopters going in and taking people one at a time out. They can't land as people are desparate and will crowd and hang onto the craft and it can't fly...that's dangerous! I heard where individual's, churches and many ministries that are helping in a very wonderful way. The guy interviewed (who was there to actually experience it) said there aren't any places to stay between Texas and Georgia. I'd say if you want to help in a material way...contact the Salvation Army, Red Cross, Samaritan's Purse, 2nd Harvest and others....and if you're a person of faith, you can also pray!! While this is a horrible, horrible situation that I can't even imagine (& it's way worse than the tornado in Stoughton!) I believe the American Press is sensationalizing the horror!
