I thought you had to wait at least two years after surgery before getting pregnant. They must have those rules for a reason, right? Just wondering.

I have to ask what MNLady asked as well...thought you'd said in your early entries that you are on 2 kinds of bc...because "they" want you to wait until you're all healed, lost the weight etc. What would this do to your body??? I've heard with most other surgeries it takes at least a year to 18 months afterwards to completely heal. We want you to be healthy...so your baby...when the time comes can be healthy and have a healthy mom because we all care!! As for work...isn't it frustrating when there are those who aren't on the same wave-length?? I agree it isn't equatible....but there is that idea of helping out (even if it doesn't benefit "me"). Somewhere in the hiarchy someone will be noticing your (& the coworkers) help. Maybe on a job recommendation it will say "THEY" went the extra mile to help with projects beyond their daily work. OR, "they" do everything expected of them with a good attitude. I don't know..I'm just looking for a nugget here that would be positive instead of negative because I wish the best for you!

I have to say - - tough it out, keep a stiff upper lip, and all that re: the work situation. Last year I was delegated to a "short term" tour of duty @ my employer. I was put on a team that had to handle angry customers' calls re: past due deliveries, production line-down situations, etc. It was the hardest 12 weeks of work I've ever had. It impacted my personal life, and at times, even my physical health. In hind sight, I now see it as a valuable experience! I learned so much, acquired new skills that I would have probably never gotten in 10 years on my regular job.... I ended up getting a $$$ bonus for the "trouble". And last week I received an award from my manager and his boss for my efforts. Nothing real fancy - just nice that they recognized it..... So I guess whatI'm trying to say is - sometimes we don't see the value in the "now". Sometimes if we are diligant in the small things - the rewards will be big down the line....

WOW!!! Congrats to Huff, I had no idea!! I have to concur, yes as a mom, but what the others are saying is so true. Being 'task oriented' it's hard to re-direct but you never know what the prize is there for you in the long run. Maybe management, unbeknownst to all of you, are doing this as a test for ???? who knows what. At any rate, at least you have a job that your generally like and in retrospect, even if it doesn't seem like it, you are blessed! Soon you will be directing your sites to higher education and that will enable you to even further advancements in life. Plus I would bet this is temporary..you won't have to be doing it forever.
