I think you missed the big picture. You talk about wanting a baby in the first part of your post and in the last part of your post, but right near the middle you write, "As I walked out of the building, I saw a beautiful rainbow to the left and a brilliant orange sky to the right and a spectacular lightning display directly in front of me." I think you may have missed a very important message. I think the rainbow represented HIS promise, the orange represented HIS glory, and the lightning represented HIS power. I think he was telling you your prayers will be answered in HIS time. Be patient. Maybe he even sent me here to point this out. I would love to think so.

It never pays to "run before God" and do things in your own power!! Waiting upon Him, as it says in His book, will benefit one in the long run. There are stories where people took things in their own hands...such as Sarah who gave Hagar to her husband and look where that got us!!! Cosmic has some good things in her comments. It could be that God is tarrying for a good reason. He answers in several ways...by saying "yes, or no, or wait!" It's always for our good..whatever the answer! Hindsight will generally be 20-20 can you see that in your life so far??
